The Learner

Curiosity can be planted anywhere, anytime.
In living rooms, families plan
their next design.
In function rooms, siblings, parents, grandparents, cousins
bring it to life.
In classrooms, usually reserved for art, a brand-new
project in curriculum time.

Space held for people, where it wasn’t before –
new experiences that wouldn’t have happened
organically: software and circuit boards
brought to the table; colourful acetates transformed
into petals. Stem lit up, by a circuit complete.
Excitement as tech and creativity combine.

While ideas flourish above, roots hold below:
continuing to reach –
networks expanding exponentially,
soaking it all in.

The intersection of interests produces new seeds:
new questions and ideas, ready to be planted.
Follow their path, see where they lead, watch
where they land.

And maybe what we see bloom next is something we’ll expect,
or maybe it won’t be,

but one thing is for certain:
it will take root and it will grow,
as long as the light is let in.
