Be Part of Everybody Dance

A New Mass Dance Routine at Chesterfield Children's Festival

Do you love dancing? Whether you’re a professional or just like bopping around your kitchen, we’re inviting dance lovers of all ages and abilities to be part of Everybody Dance – a new mass dance routine that’s as easy as A, B, C!

The dance extravaganza is taking place on the first day of the Chesterfield Children’s Festival, Saturday 27th July at Queen’s Park at 3.30pm, with regular dance practices throughout the day.  Local dance schools and our professional dancers will lead the way, but we want as many people to join-in as possible to create the ultimate feel-good factor at the festival.

The routine, choreographed by Derby dance artist Karla Jones, is simple so that everyone can take part, there’s even a sit-down version for anyone with mobility issues.

We’ve created a couple of instruction films, so have a watch and practice at home before the big event.  We’d love to see your practice videos, so tag us in on social media @junctionarts.uk.

Please let your family, friends, workmates and neighbours know and bring them along too!

Chesterfield Children’s Festival is a free weekend of fun for families, which includes music, theatre, storytelling, dance and art workshops.  You can find out more here.

If you’re a dance school and would like to be part of Everybody Dance, please email jemma@junctionarts.org
