My name is Nicole Calladine and I’m doing work experience at Junction Arts. Today I helped deliver a workshop at Chesterfield Collage which involved me showing them how to make these Friendship bracelets.

To do this we first had to prepare all the materials before we went to the collage. We also had to prepare the advertising for the workshop and for Junction Arts itself. I also prepared the A-Board the day before which advertised what we was doing at the workshop. When I helped set up the table for the workshop we was doing, we chose to add mini decorations to the table to make it look more creative and standout more.

The event was really busy and there was a mixture of boys and girls which we was shocked about because it’s mainly girls who are into braiding and making bracelets. My role was to show people how to make the bracelets and to cut the lengths of the threads.

I really enjoyed the experience of going to this workshop because I got to talk to a lot of people and it was just really fun in general. I really enjoyed showing the students and (some) teachers how to make the bracelets and having mini conversations with them.
