Chesterfield Children’s Festival’s Youth Planning Group
We are looking for young people aged 15-20 who are passionate about arts and culture to help us plan and programme Chesterfield Children’s Festival 2024.
The first Chesterfield Children’s Festival on 29th and 30th July 2023 saw over 8000 people enjoy high-quality arts and culture from across the UK. We’re looking to come back bigger and better in 2024 and would like local young people to help us plan the festival, tailoring the programme and activities to Chesterfield young people’s needs and interests.
Are you a budding events manager? Cultural producer? Or do you fancy a career in the arts? By being part of our Chesterfield Children’s Festival’s Youth Planning Group you’ll work alongside Junction Arts’ experienced project coordinators to make Chesterfield Children’s Festival happen.
As part of the group, you will:
- Shape the look and feel of the festival
- Research and book artists and acts
- Commission artwork
- Learn what’s involved in making events happen
- Work alongside Project Coordinators
- Be part of the festival team
We are looking for committed and enthusiastic young people who enjoy working with others and have at least one evening free a month January-August. You will need to be able to travel to our office at West Studios, Chesterfield.
We will require parental or guardian permission for young people who are under 18.
