Derbyshire Makes Bolsover is taking place in various locations throughout the town. Come and find the Junction Arts Information Point at The Cenotaph on Castle Street where we’ll have more information including a location map. We will have clear signage so you can find us! 

The terrain in Bolsover is mostly tarmac with some paved areas, and there is bark underfoot in Old Bolsover Yard. There are gentle slopes throughout the town. 

Please note Castle Street will be closed to vehicles on this day. 

BSL INTERPRETATION 

There will be two roaming BSL interpreters available throughout the day, please come to the Junction Arts Information Point and we will connect you with an interpreter.

BY CAR & PARKING 

Bolsover is 6 miles east of Chesterfield. If you are travelling by car via the M1, we recommend leaving the motorway at junction 29A and following the signs for Bolsover town centre. 

There is an EV charger at Morrisons and Middle Street Car Park in Bolsover (charges apply). 

PARKING 

You can park with a Blue Badge in all Bolsover public car parks, those with confirmed disabled bays are at Town End and Morrison’s Car Park.

BY BUS 

You can get to Bolsover by bus easily from Chesterfield, Mansfield and Sheffield. Stagecoach services 1, 2, 49, 53 and 53a all go to the town centre. Derbyshire Makes Bolsover is taking place in venues and spaces around the town centre, get off at the Market Place for a central location. 

BY TRAIN 

The nearest train station is in Chesterfield, from which you would need to travel by bus. Chesterfield Coach Station is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the train station, get Stagecoach Service 1 direct to Bolsover, services run every 30 minutes during the day, the journey time is around 30 minutes.
