Bolsover Christmas Festival and Lantern Parade 2019
Join us this November, for Bolsover’s Christmas Festival and Lantern Parade.
This year we are excited to present the Illumaphonium (an interactive light and sound installation), fire juggling, Samba band performance. Everyone in the parade has the chance to win the ‘Best Lantern’ Bring your lanterns to the inner courtyard at 4:30pm for the chance to win Best Lantern Competition in this years competition. The parade will set off around the town at 5pm, arriving in Market Place at 5.30pm for a special musical performance finale to celebrate Junction Arts’ 40th Anniversary. We are working with Chesterfield College students and New Bolsover Primary, Bolsover Infants, Bolsover Junior and Palterton Primary schools again this year, so please give them a special cheer when they go past!

FREE ENTRY
Christmas Market: 10am – 6pm at Bolsover Town
Lighting of Lanterns: 4.15pm at Bolsover Castle.
Best Lantern Competition: 4:30pm.
Parade: Starts at 5pm.
World Premiere of the new music piece: Commissioned to celebrate Junction Art’s 40th Anniversary starts at 5:30pm at the Cenotaph.
