Derbyshire Creative Heritage Conference 2023: Dive Into Digital

Join Junction Arts on Thursday 16th March for our fourth Derbyshire Creative Heritage Conference, an event for professionals, volunteers and anyone with a passion for creative heritage.

Hosted at the stunning Museum of Making in Derby, the theme for the day is “Dive into Digital – hacking heritage with digital technologies’’. We will celebrate and showcase some exceptional creative heritage projects including This Girl Codes. Speakers include Josie Fraser, Head of Digital Policy at National Lottery Heritage Fund, Stephanie Walsh, lead coordinator for the spectacular Derbyshire focussed Shine a Light project and Eilish Clohessy-Dennis, Curator of Making at the Museum of Making.

Part of the day will be dedicated to showcasing Junction Arts’ hugely successful National Lottery Heritage Funded STEAM project, This Girl Codes, focussing on how we have brought new creative interpretation, communities and learning to nationally significant heritage sites across Derbyshire.

The programme will begin at 10am and you’re invited to arrive from 9:30am for hot drinks. The event will finish at approximately 4pm, allowing time for you to experience the Museum of Making and explore its fascinating heritage stories and artefacts.  Lunch and unlimited teas and coffees will be provided as part of your ticket; please do let us know about any dietary requirements when completing the registration form.

We endeavour to make this event as accessible as possible. For venue accessibility information, please visit: https://www.derbymuseums.org/accessibility/

For all Conference delegates, we will provide a full programme of itinerary and speaker biographies prior to the event.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Conference.
