This Girl Codes is a program of activities led by artists that explores science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) through creativity.
This Girl Codes Heritage Hack Creswell – Tuesday – 31 October
MODERN DAY MAGIC
This Halloween we’ll delve into Creswell Crags’ deepest, darkest cave and find out how witches are linked to the UNESCO Heritage Site. After our cave tour we will become alchemists and create potions with artist Rachel Scanlon. In the afternoon we will become Frankenstein’s maker with electrical engineer Ann Fomukong-Boden; using motors, mechanics and programming we will re-animate a (fake) skeleton!

This Girl Codes Heritage Hack Bolsover – Thursday 2 November
GHOST STORIES AT BOLSOVER CASTLE
This Halloween we’ll explore English Heritage’s most haunted castle and use film, drama and prosthetics to create our own ghost stories. We’ll work with artists Sian Watson-Taylor and Jim Brouwer to use special effects and projection.
