Chesterfield Children’s Festival

Chesterfield Children’s Festival is a new, annual, free family festival by Junction Arts

On 29th and 30th July 2023 we held the first Chesterfield Children’s Festival at Queen’s Park. The Children’s Festival is primarily an arts and culture festival for children of all ages and their wider families to explore the arts and creativity in a safe and accessible way.

Tapton Lock Festival 2023

Tapton Lock Festival is a free family fun filled weekend event that Junction Arts delivers in partnership with Derbyshire County Council Countryside Services.

Derbyshire Creative Heritage Conference 2023

The Derbyshire Creative Heritage Conference returned on the 16th March with a focus on digital technology and how it can be used to shine a light on the region’s heritage sites.  The one-day event brought together industry experts, creatives, volunteers and those who love heritage to share ideas, network and develop partnerships for the future.

Six Pillars

Six Pillars will support the emotional health and wellbeing of young people, aged 11-18, in six communities across Bolsover district and North East Derbyshire. Young people will be supported to build life-long skills, create new friendships and improved confidence and become the six pillars to their own positive self-esteem and healthy futures, exploring volunteer opportunities and career pathways.

Nesting – Brimington Public Art

Junction Arts and Vistry Homes worked together to create new public art at their Brimington Heights housing development in Chesterfield.

Next Gen

Join an innovative new group for artistic 16-24 year olds who are interested in pursuing a creative career, who want to meet with like-minded people and explore opportunities in the arts.

Bolsover Lantern Parade

The Bolsover Lantern parade is an annually returning event that engages local Bolsover communities, in participatory arts activity, and inspires participants and audiences to get involved in a high quality festive arts experience.

Creswell Gets More Creative

A continuation of the successful Creswell Gets Creative project where participants will be taking the initiative and planning two workshops a year for the local community.

Our Stories, Our Places, Our Futures

Our Places, Our Stories, Our Futures works with young people from Bolsover, NE Derbyshire and Chesterfield to explore themes of self, place & imagined futures.

This Girl Codes

This Girl Codes provided playful opportunities for women of all ages to explore creative tech and push the boundaries of what can be achieved with a community sensor-driven project in a heritage setting.

Arty Ladies

The Arty Ladies group meet fortnightly at the Creswell Event Centre to take part in arts and craft activities. The project is not only and opportunity to learn new skills and produce something beautiful, it also helps build a stronger community and valuable support networks.
