Chesterfield Children’s Festival

Chesterfield Children’s Festival is a new, annual, free family festival by Junction Arts

On 29th and 30th July 2023 we held the first Chesterfield Children’s Festival at Queen’s Park. The Children’s Festival is primarily an arts and culture festival for children of all ages and their wider families to explore the arts and creativity in a safe and accessible way.

Nesting – Brimington Public Art

Junction Arts and Vistry Homes worked together to create new public art at their Brimington Heights housing development in Chesterfield.

Next Gen

Join an innovative new group for artistic 16-24 year olds who are interested in pursuing a creative career, who want to meet with like-minded people and explore opportunities in the arts.

Creswell Gets More Creative

A continuation of the successful Creswell Gets Creative project where participants will be taking the initiative and planning two workshops a year for the local community.

Young Carers Art Club

During February 2021 half-term we delivered two online workshops with young carers who live in Derbyshire.

Get Creative Kids!

Artist lead ‘drop in’ creative workshops for children and young people during the school holidays.

Miner’s Chapel Mosaic

St. John the Baptist Church in Clowne were awarded a Tesco Bags of Help grant and as a result, have been able to begin an exciting new community project.

Hodthorpe Art Afternoons

Hodthorpe Art Afternoons is a six-month programme of arts & crafts workshops for members of the Hodthorpe Monday Club.

Clay Cross Heritage Gala

Our WWI themed Gala took place on the 5th August, we had wonderful walk-about acts, The Ukulele Orchestra, refreshments, local history and Clay Cross became the first location to display our Processions 2018 banner. 

Whispers from the Model

Whispers from the Model is a collection of fascinating memories, stories and pictures about life at New Bolsover Model Village. From captivating oral histories and storytelling sessions with residents past and present to the wonderful imaginations of children from New Bolsover Primary School, we’ve delved into the unique heritage of the Model Village.

Rural Touring

Junction Arts have recently become a promotor for Live & Local, The Rural and Community Touring Network. Together we have brought high quality, entertaining, and affordable professional live theatre, music and dance to Creswell Social Centre.
