We deliver all of our work in communities and local spaces becoming embedded in the communities we serve. We deliver projects that are relevant and distinctive to participants, situation and place.

DCHC 2019

Entitled Resilience Through Collectivism the conference, hosted by our partners at Haarlem Artspace, looked at some of the different approaches we can take to strengthen both organisational and our personal resilience.

Clay Cross Heritage Gala

Our WWI themed Gala took place on the 5th August, we had wonderful walk-about acts, The Ukulele Orchestra, refreshments, local history and Clay Cross became the first location to display our Processions 2018 banner. 

Whispers from the Model

Whispers from the Model is a collection of fascinating memories, stories and pictures about life at New Bolsover Model Village. From captivating oral histories and storytelling sessions with residents past and present to the wonderful imaginations of children from New Bolsover Primary School, we’ve delved into the unique heritage of the Model Village.

Community Film Makers

‘Community Film Makers’ was a three year film project for residents of New Bolsover Model Village to document the progress of the Heritage Lottery Funded conservation and regeneration project.

Rural Touring

Junction Arts have recently become a promotor for Live & Local, The Rural and Community Touring Network. Together we have brought high quality, entertaining, and affordable professional live theatre, music and dance to Creswell Social Centre.


In 2015 Junction Arts was awarded Heritage Lottery Funding for a very special project, developed to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. The project was called JA40 and over the last two years a number of significant outcomes have been achieved.

The ART of Reminiscence: Memory Lane.

Members of Age UK Derby and Derbyshire took part in a wonderful creative heritage project called Memory Lane. Junction Arts involved members from across the Derbyshire Dales including; Bakewell, Hope, Hulland Ward and Hartington. Working with artist and project coordinator Jane Wells, to draw a building that holds a special place in each of their hearts.

Derbyshire Creative Heritage Conference

The aim of the conference was to celebrate and raise awareness of all of the excellent heritage work that is currently being delivered across Derbyshire.

HMS Hampshire Mosaic & Film project

In July 2016, Junction Arts, 3 artists and 31 Year 9 students from Frederick Gent School came together for an ambitious week-long mixed arts project.

Art On The Model

‘Art on the Model’ is a site responsive, engaging and accessible large-scale public art project at New Bolsover Model Village which has been informed by and created with the residents and key local partners.
