This Girl Codes Wins ‘Best Creative Project in a Secondary School’ award.

On Wednesday 10th April we attended the second ‘Be Mighty, Be Creative’ awards hosted by The Mighty Creatives and celebrated their 10th birthday! Our project ‘This Girl Codes’ working  with The Bolsover School won an award for ‘Best Creative Project in a Secondary School’, we are delighted to be recognised across the Midlands for our innovative work with young people.

This project is particularly important for Junction Arts as we create an inspiring and supportive space for women and girls to grow their skills in technology. According to Women in Tech  just 17% of those working in Technology in the UK are female. We hope this project not only educates the participants but inspires them to continue interest in technology.
